In our daily spring production, the most troublesome problem for machine operators is unstable spring tensioning. Unstable or loose spring tensioning affects work efficiency and seriously impacts the normal rest of the machine operators. So what are the reasons that cause unstable spring tensioning? Below, Chen Zhen from Jingye Spring Machine analyzes several reasons… Camless Spring Machine
1. External Factors: External factors refer to problems not caused by the spring machine itself. This usually manifests in the quality of the spring steel wire. The quality of spring steel wire varies greatly. Poor quality spring steel wire is mainly manifested in inconsistent wire size, with tolerances ranging from ±5 to ±6 wires. This most easily causes problems such as wire blockage and incomplete wire feeding. Also, the surface of the steel wire… 1. There are two main issues with steel wire. Wire with a broken or wavy surface will oscillate after being processed by the machine and cannot be adjusted. Another special case is stainless steel wire. Stainless steel comes in two types: bright and matte. I generally recommend using matte stainless steel for production, as it is much more stable during production compared to bright steel. If you absolutely cannot switch, you can add some stretching oil to the surface of the bright steel wire to improve the stability of spring production.
2. The easiest problem to identify is whether the screws are tightened. Many operators often forget to tighten the screws, causing them to loosen during spring production, which in turn affects the spring itself and results in defective products! Secondly, check for gaps in the sliders. The stability of the spring is directly related to the eight sliders on the spring machine. If the sliders have gaps due to wear, it will cause instability in the outer diameter and incomplete bending angles during spring production. These two points are the easiest problems for spring machine operators to identify during machine adjustments and can usually be detected through self-inspection.
3. This section will discuss the machine-related reasons for unstable spring production. I have some understanding of the reasons why spring machines sometimes fail to produce stable springs, and how this manifests in various machines… When adjusting springs, if the steel wire wobbles in a serpentine shape, it indicates a problem with the spring machine's wire feeding assembly. This is generally caused by imprecise machining of the spring components. A wavy wire indicates misalignment between the two sets of wire feeding shafts. This is the biggest difference between domestic and imported spring machines. Concentricity of the wire feeding shafts directly affects the machining center, worker assembly, and bearing quality. A common method for testing the precision of the wire feeding assembly is using a dial indicator. Imported machines typically show a dial indicator reading between one and two micrometers, while domestic spring machines usually show three or four micrometers, and some even five or six micrometers. There are currently about thirty to forty domestic spring machine manufacturers. Among those specializing in precision, China Jingye Spring Machine and Mais Spring Machine are considered to be of high quality. Jingye Spring Machine has been professionally engaged in the spring industry for over ten years, producing various types of machines, including computer-controlled spring machines, CNC compression spring machines, fully automatic thread sleeve machines, and wire forming machines!
The reasons analyzed above are some problems and solutions that Jingye Precision Machinery has found in its daily spring production. I hope this will be helpful to you. In the next section, I will analyze the internal causes for you!
